McDonalds on Thomas St
This the McDonalds on Thomas St. It was located at the front of the parking lot of Northgate Shopping center. It was only a walk up counter. You either ate in your car or took it home.

These are from my personal collection. Some of these were purchased at Sears- Crosstown back in the 1960's.
Rex and I both carried around radios as kids, ones like these, that used a 9 volt battery. We spent most of our allowance on batteries! We just could not imagine life without the radio! - Connie
Here is a picture of the Deluxe Reading Brochure for the toys that were sold in grocery stores in the 1950-1960's, like Big Star here in Memphis. Deluxe Reading later became Topper Toy Company. If you look closely at the picture you may see one of your toys! They sold the Desktop Car for Boys with the, steering wheel, lights and sounds, windshield and wipers that really worked! For the girls a poplar one was the Candy Fashion Doll. Many of these toys can be found on Ebay, but they are Pricey! - Connie
This is The Northgate Shopping center on Thomas Street In the 1950's. My friend was picking up her Grandmother from Work at 3 Sisters. She shared these with us on face book! I just loved seeing them! There was a Gridiron at the corner too! We thought you would get a kick out of seeing the old Pictures!!
We are on our way to early vote in Millington!
- Sincerely Connie and Rex
My Grandparents and Parents use to go here, they had a Bubble Gum machine inside and we always got a Penny to get a piece of gum while they pumped gas! I remember the pump saying 15 cents a gallon! Also the owner raced at the stock car races. I will have to talk to my friend( her dad owned it) and get more info, this station was on Overton crossing near N. Watkins

This a pic of the Plastic sticks under the Buried Treasure, the most poplar one sold when I was a kid in the mid 1960's. It was Vanilla and raspberry Ice cream sold by the Merry Mobile. I sent you a picture of the Merry Mobile awhile back and I heard another listener call in about it.
This the largest collection I have ever seen before, every once in a while you will see them at antique stores and flea markets.
Also thought you would love the pic of the record player!
